University of Hawaii Drone Technologies VIP

Who are we?

The University of Hawaii Drone Technologies (UHDT) VIP Team is a multidisciplinary team consisting of mechanical, electrical, and computer engineers. UHDT has been working on researching and developing drone technologies since Spring 2014 and has since competed in the Annual Student Unmanned Aerial Systems Competition (SUAS) by the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) Seafarer Chapter for the past three years.

This year the team has split up into two teams. One which will still compete in the 2019 AUVSI SUAS competition and another which will be working in parallel with the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at the University of Hawaii at Manoa on practical applications of Drone Technologies.

Each team has a website with more specific information about their mission as well as their current status.
